Martin Luther Jr. Spartans Baseball has partnered with Martin Luther High School to develop a feeder program of tournament teams to feed the high school with high character individuals that are learning to play baseball at a higher level as preparation for high school athletics.
The Jr Spartans program is an outside program using the Martin Luther High School facilities. Through indoor workouts starting during the winter months to outside practices on Martin Luther fields and surrounding fields players are being taught to play baseball at a competitive level. High School, College and Former Major League players and coaches are brought in to help train these players.
We play in the M.A.J.O.R.(Milwaukee Area Junior Open Residency) youth baseball league. This league consists of Tournament quality teams throughout the Southeast of Wisconsin. We also play in several weekend tournaments throughout the summer.
Our primary focus for these teams are to develop players to play in high school. We want players to play the game with proper technique, teaching sportsmanship to their teammates, coaches, umpires and their opponents. Players are encouraged to do their best at all times, making sure that they enjoy playing this great game.
Come check out a game this season! If you are interested in more info, please contact Wade Avinger at wavinger@wi.rr.com. Next year we will have a U10, U12, and a U14 team. We are always looking for more quality players and looking to expand the number of teams we have. If you have a son that is interested in attending Martin Luther some day and would like to play baseball at a higher level please contact us.
GO SPARTANS!
